I am an engineer so I am fully aware of that. I don't think he is talking about bearings because the car wouldn't run for the milage it has with those tolerances on suspension mountings, wheel hub bearings recesses, control arm mountings etc (which realistically are the only components they make in house... The suspension is made by external company).
You should not hang all of your perceptions on one comment take out of its context translated by a forum member...

However if you saw the clip it was about the rollcage mounting in bodyshell, I suppose. You don´t even have to be engineer to understand 0,5 mm is huge in other parts.

Bodywork +/-0,5 mm is on the other hand very very strict. I doubt it's feasible to achieve but maybe it is.
