I have been a big fan of Breen for years, but some said he wasnt good enough to win often in the ERC so how can he go to the WRC...

He has improved with experience and he actually thrives in the faster machinery.

Abbring has considerably more experience and he has even developed cars for Hyundai.

Not saying he is doomed a failure, I wasn't too impressed by Camili in the beginning either but I don't imagine Abbring in a permanent seat anytime soon.

Breen on SS18: “Suffered a bit having only had one high speed pass on this stage earlier”

Shame if that incident & subsequent time loss costs him the podium.

don't forget Breen was in the troublesome 208 T16 R5. Beforehand he was the 2011 WRC Academy champion and S-WRC 2012 champion. Anyhow, this is only his 5th event in a world rally car and only 3rd time in the DS3 and 2nd time in Finland (in a world rally car).

    This is true.

Also when he did make mistakes it was usually through pushing too hard or when on new events. His speed and bravery was never in doubt.

When Abbring tests Hyundai it looks like him driving the car and engineers just watching him to see what else he is able to break in the car to improve it for next time. That is all. No telemetry needed. Telemetry is not why he is present at the tests
Visit South Moravia. It is the real paradise

    SS19: TANAK
Quickest so far and eyeing Breen's third place. "I went absolutely maximum. Let's see what happens. I have a good feeling now."

Fair play.. I have to say even as an IRC/ERC fan he has impressed me more than I thought.

Breen has made a big step in the last two rallies. Before he was just a runner up, but now he´s doing really good rallies. Hope nationality (Lefebvre) doesn´t dedice who is getting a cockpit at Citroen.
