Push from FIA to have the championship leader running in front for three days?!
Well, as they say: That escalated quickly
Ogier is the benchmark, it would be very sad if he decided to quit.
And as I have written earlier, in this case Capito acts as a hand puppet for Ogier, and I am quite sure that the moment Ogier understands that he has no chance of beating all of Loebs records, there is a big chance of him quitting.
He basically has nothing left to prove except that. And I also fully understand his frustration on the two-day-sweeping rule. All tough he still will be champion, he is in it to win it - and by that I mean EVERY rally - and he doesnt see that that very same rule is the same advantage on tarmac, as it is a disadvantage on gravel. Because he doesnt need an advantage on tarmac to win, but he needs a lesser disadvantage on gravel.
But, no matter how it turns out, 2017 will still be an incredible rally season!https://www.facebook.com/noseendfirst?ref=hl#

Loeb used to sweep roads most of his career and managed to win 9 titles.

Acropolis Rally
Colin McRae (above) completed a hat-trick at the Greek classic in a Ford Focus RS after winning in Argentina and Cyprus. He shrugged off the disadvantage of starting first for two days on slippery gravel, while Richard Burns slowed at the end of each leg to ensure cleaner roads and better grip for the following day. Burns’ tactics failed and McRae led from the end of the opening leg to win by 49sec from Petter Solberg.

Who cares what Loeb did and under which rules. It's just that todays rules are wrong for the sport. You all talk about Ogier and how he shouldn't complain, but he does it only because he's at the top at the moment.
Wouldn't it be funny if the rules changed to 3-day-sweep and Citroen built the best car, but Meeke couldn't win because of unfair rules?
Imagine a 4-way last rally fight for the Championship, with let's say Ostberg winning it all because he started 4th...
Would you be pleased with that?Viola ad oltranza...

Where has anyone said anything about sweeping for 3 days? That came out of the blue...
It's only an hour of Live in WRX, WRC usually has 3 hours now. When you've watched a couple of seasons of RX it gets boring for us WRC fans i think since we are used to more variation."Die with memories, not with dreams" Scott McIsaac
