2015 Lows:
For the first time in my (long) career, I was laid off from my job (along with 200 others
). It wasn’t a total surprise, but it was an experience I’d rather never have to go through again. With the Canadian economy in the toilet, especially in the province of Alberta, most workers were on edge throughout the year. I think the worst is over, but 2016 will not necessarily be an improvement.
2015 Highs:
I did find employment fairly quickly again (I know some colleagues that are still unemployed).
Family is healthy and happy. Kids are excelling in school, and are growing and demonstrating more responsibility.
No motorsport events for me, but I did fulfill a personal bucket list item travelling to the UK to take in the Rugby World Cup
