    Fredrik Åhlins mother is Susanne Kottulinsky, her self a very good rally driver (had a factory contract with Volvo, and also drove for Audi with a 200 Group N and then a Group A). His father is Jerry Åhlin, also a prominent Swedish rally driver, very good in his youth, and Susannes father was the legendary Freddy Kottulinsky who won the Dakar with the VW Iltis (the forefarder of the Audi quattro.
    The Åhlin/Kottulinsky-family has been closely connected with Audi, and their family bussiness has been to arrange Audi Driving Experiences both on ice in the winter, and on tracks in the summer (I met Susanne, Jerry and Freddy on Gotland Ring at press event for the Audi RS4). Fredriks sister Mikeale (wich is the girlfriend of Max Verstappen) drives the Audi TT cup in Germany (goes alongside DTM). So his motorsport pedigree is all in order
