That's probably the case. Ok, there are technical flaws at this car project but some teams running with it have manage to minimize them, while others simply don't. Also some of Breen car reliability problems aren't related with those flaws at all.
A lot of 208T16 (and DS3R5, btw) are performing well around Europe, but due to the troublesome Sainteloc ERC and WRC participation, the overall perception is that this car it's a crap. That's not true!
For instance, Racing Lions Team record in Italy has been quite impressive: Andreucci and Peugeot are 2014 and 2015 champs; in 16 events, they have won 8 and retired only once. They've also achieved best PSA R5 car result at WRC2 in their first full attempt: 2nd at this year Rally d'Italia (only 5,6s away from 1st).
Perhaps it's time for Peugeot to look for another team to run their ERC/WRC2 program and turn the 208T16 into a international winner!Rally addict since 1982

Maybe it's Sainteloc who is crap, not the 208T16...

Also, TRT in the Hungarian championship this year had barely to no problems with the car, and even managed to win 2 rallies. On the other hand, they had many-many problems with Koci's car in the WRC.
And if Saintéloc is the source of many problems, wouldn't it be wise for Peugeot to step in? Because at this point they're not selling cars exactly because of the bad reputation the Academy cars get them. Or does Saintéloc work so cheap that it's still worth it?

Breen has a had a lot of technical problems in WRC2 but it's not true about ERC. That is correct only for 2014 but in 2015 his only serious technical problems were not really about car reliability (heavy landing in Estonia and driving with blocked radiator in Ypres).

I think all P208 T16 are crap. And I feel very sorry especially for Koci...best driver under 30 yo in middle europe. The only one exception is Ucci. Totally same story as Mini and one exception with Vaclav Pech.
Visit South Moravia. It is the real paradise
