There are huge differences in the lines of the National Rally guys and the WRC guys, and Ogier in particular.
A national level driver will have much earlier turn ins, clinging to the inside corner, and with rear wheel drive, push the gravel out in the wide entry line used by Ogier.
Ogier comes in his wide entry line, and can't go in the lines of the national guys, so will have to live with a looser surface, off course affecting his speed.

But, all tough negative for Ogier, this is great for the rally observer. Because You get a clear picture of two things:
1) The difference in lines between national level rally drivers, and the worlds best rally driver.
2) The "evidence" to prove that Ogier runs his own lines even if the cars in front have done different.
