This year FIA introduced controversial ruling preventing drivers from changing their helmet designs. It has proved unpopular with very small group of so called ‘hardcore fans’ but others welcomed this change. “We had created separate budget for painting Vettel’s helmets” says Ferrari team boss. “Now we can spend this money on getting estimated extra 60bhp with our engine”. ※ Vivaldi Mercedes-Ferrari went even further with introducing small changes to the shape of the helmet. “The idea is very simple” says technical director. “It’s very difficult for casual fan to tell on which track they are. Even I, a professional working in F1 for over 20 years, sometimes get confused on which track are we actually racing. That’s why we introduce different helmet designs – after just looking on the helmet you can immediately tell whether it’s a fast or slow track.” There were some protests from other teams but he reassures us that this designs serves no aerodynamical purposes. “The horizontal shape is necessary to house 2 cameras on the edges. It was never attempted before but now we can stream live onboards in glorious 3D so much desired by our casual fans (currently available only on Jupiter Station 3, not available on Earth). This design was approved by FIA and will be in use during upcoming races.”

Actually the FAM are on the podium on the strength of Danny K's P2. However it is nice surprise to see my boyz at McLaren getting some decent points

I took a gamble on Ferrari and it only really pays off when they win. Belgium is going to be cooler than Hungary so I think we will see a Mercedes 1-2 with somebody third.
