Never done dyfnant before. And not been on a night stage before. Tempted with further north, just in case dyfnant is busy.

I'm not sure what to think of the night run

I've been on night stages on a few other rallies before (RAC, Ypres , the Tempest and some other events in the SW) andI'm still in two minds. Some stages it can be a case of blinded by a light pod, seeing some glowing brakes and then being able to see nothing but the light pod burnt into your retinas for the next 2 minutes...at which point another car turns up and repeats the process. On other stages though the atmosphere is really lively and you can have a great time.

Think on balance though I'm going to head to one of the Clocaenog stages, it means having to wake up earlier but does give the option to see them twice in the light...plus if I'm very quick and only watch a handful in the second run I can possibly get back down for a night stage too. Although doubt I will as I'll spend the whole time thinking how much it's costing me.

I'm leaving now from Chirk for Dyfi. They were wrong, it's hammering down!

Morning rain has almost stopped (some small showers left). You were right about Chirk, one of the strongest rainfall in the region was there, today in the morning. But the general picturefor the day looks not too bad :-)
