Cracking entry, great to see so many talented brits in WRC2; Cave, Bogie, Thorburn, Pryce and McCormack.

Bodes well for a decent home entry in Rally Yorkshire ERC next year!

Yes, here's hoping. But it's too close to RallyGB...

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

True but it does present a chance to shine and after the Cave and Price ding dong in 2012 (great battle) they among others would relish going to stages few outside of the UK (Nikara and Korhonen) have experienced.

Great list in general, lots of depth and will keep me engaged throughout the day.

Minor downside that there are no Fabias or 208 T16s, but can't complain in general: bigger WRC, WRC2 fields, varied National list and several Brits in top class machinery.

I'm sceptical the event will happen, and if it does, that the MSA will allow it to run any time close to Rally GB.

    No chance.

    No chance.
What's the problem with it being close to WALES Rally GB. Different catchment, different cars in the main. In terms of officials fatigue the RAC has always been 2 weeks after the WRC event and always manages a decent muster. I think with the organisation in place and the work already done it will happen. The MSA have had their chance to deal with the calendar issues this is now an FIA timetabled event, which as I understand it trumps MSA.

Even at F1 and WRC level, it is the ASN that proposes an event to a calendar for FIA approval - via the series promoter.
The ASN is the delegated body that has to make the first step, however.
