Corner cutting will be limited on Rally France or you can take a gamble and flatten them!

Those will be scattered all over the road for late runners, but I guess it's safer than the metal posts that were used before.

Why should they? These signs are used commonly in plenty of countries to prevent cutting. It's nothing new.

Besides that it's the late runners who benefits from them...

And the signs don't get thrown around if they're hit an angle that's not perpendicular to the hinge? Is the rubber base heavy enough that the warning stripe piece will separate?

They don't get hit very often. As I said it's nothing new. Basically almost all Europe uses various anti-curring obstacles on thousands of stages and these signs are one of the most common things which are used.

They're quite heavy, not made of rubber I think. They are everywhere during rallies here in NL.

From wrc.com in 2013: "Rallye de France-Alsace organisers have made special efforts to reduce the amount of mud and gravel dragged onto the asphalt stages by drivers cutting corners. The inside of many bends are lined by a series of heavy bollards to keep cars on the asphalt and prevent drivers shaving tenths of a second from their time by cutting."

But looking at the photos from 2013 there is no sign of any poles, posts, or even the barriers mentioned above...

So it is different in 2014.

No, it's not new. Every single year since it was moved to Alsace there has been the same discussion here about anti-cutting obstacles in Rallye de France. Only the type of obstacles changes. I still can't believe why some of you see it as something special...
