I have just been informed I have been nominated to perform the charity act sweeping Britain at the moment.

The ASL amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ice bucket challenge. Is basically give a donation for charity and then pour a bucket of cold water filled with ice cubes over your head in full clothing.

Good cause but sounds pretty nasty

should be tough but doable if you are used to showering with cold water everyday, all year long (like I do but then I don't live in a cold country like you do) - at least it is in "full clothing"

I fully agree.

I personally have not donated to als. Instead I have discovered McMillan a Cancer Charity are running one too, so I have donated to them.

In a couple of weeks’ time I’m running a 10km charity run, soliciting donations for the Canadian Cancer Society. But having a buck of ice water poured over my head sounds less stressful .

Big deal. In my town they shut off hot water for two weeks each year for the repair and maintenance of water pipes. Then I take cold shower every morning.
