Who else thinks he just might as well sit out the remainder of the season? I mean, if he came back, people would probably start accusing him of not caring which would only add fuel to the fire.

Just as I predicted - NASCAR has announced the addition of a new rule following this accident. No drivers can get out of their cars under circumstances like Kevin's situation on Saturday.

Kyle Larson having to escape from his car because of a fire might have exposed a little kink in the rule. They'll need to address it, because drivers will have to get out of the car asap if it's on fire.

The rules already allow a driver to exit the car if there is fire or he smells smoke or some other issue that requires him/her to exit from the car for safety reasons.
