What's the alternative? Rally2 provides nothing, nil, nada, rien, across the championship. Can't sell a TV package with Rally2 as sole class.
It's hard to say, honestly as it seems nothing works. It's like desperate calls are made. I don't know if FIA actually speak to manufacturers about kits. And what would be their plan if all would dealyed and keep Rally1 for another season, or don't know scrap everything and keep Rally2 as it is as top category... But that later one I'm afraid could drive Toyota out.
