Loong time no posts here... Though the Belgian championship has been very exciting so far. In the last 5 rounds the difference between the first and second at the end of the rally has never been greater than 8,8s. We've had some spectacular battles, with a 3-way fight for the title. This weekend there's the Spa Rally. Fernémont is leading the championship ahead of De Mevius and Munster. It's pretty simple. If Fernémont wins, he is champion. If De Mevius or Munster win, they are champion, IF Fernémont doesn't finish 2nd AND takes at least 2 powerstage points more than them.
Next those 3 drivers there are some others who can mix in the battle for the win. Lefebvre who won last Condroz is taking part, and Rossel as well, both in C2 Rally2 from team DG Sport (also organizer of this rally). Cherain and De Cecco are locals who could go for a close finish too.
In terms of weather, it's cold and rainy, roads will be very muddy. The temperature is just above 0°C right now. Snow is not likely but possible, snow tyres are allowed.

While not really a surprise it does make one wonder who will do the tarmac. Paddon has no recent or historical decent tarmac form. Lappi is therefore most likely, he does not have any good results...
