A while ago I contacted Rally Journal and told them they must quote their sources and they did then start doing so, quoting Dirtfish, Autosport, etc.
However they do attend the WRC events and are there when press conferences are held, so they can use some of the same words.
I agree on their article titles though, but remember they are new so need plenty of clicks for funding.
This is slightly off-topic, but I’d like to take a moment to clarify a few things.
I’m the editor-in-chief of RallyJournal.com. We launched the site in February, so it’s still relatively new and not yet widely known. Understandably, this raises questions about its reliability.
Our team consists of professionals who have been running the Finnish site Rallit.fi for years, which some of you here might already be familiar with. Currently, RallyJournal publishes essentially the same news as Rallit.fi, but translated into English. We write all our articles ourselves.
We have reporters present at every WRC event, gathering material for our news articles. Occasionally, we also incorporate information from other sources, such as DirtFish and Autosport, which have been mentioned here as well. We always cite our sources (and have done so from the start) in accordance with proper journalistic practices.
At times, it might seem to outsiders that we simply copy articles from other outlets, especially when our articles feature similar quotes to those found on DirtFish or Autosport. This is because we’re part of the same interview pools at WRC events as journalists like Tom Howard or David Evans. It’s also worth mentioning that there have been many occasions when RallyJournal published an article first, and similar pieces later appeared elsewhere with the same quotes — which is completely normal in this field.
Regarding headlines, unfortunately, in today’s media landscape, we sometimes need to be creative with them to capture readers’ attention. This is particularly relevant for us, as we’re still a relatively small player on the international stage, working to establish our presence in the market. While we do this out of passion for the sport, it’s ultimately a business and our livelihood — if our articles don’t attract readers, they don’t generate revenue. The reality is that an article with a "plain" headline, which essentially reveals the entire story upfront, attracts far fewer readers than one with a more engaging headline.
That said, we’ve certainly crossed the line into overly dramatic headlines at times. We strive to ensure that the content of the article always delivers on the promise of the headline. We don’t want to disappoint our readers, as we’re creating content for them and aim to provide engaging stories.
We’re still in the early stages of our journey and refining our approach for an international audience. That’s why we’re grateful for all the feedback we receive.

Driver opinions on the removal of hybrid. Most wanted to keep it despite it being unreliable...
https://dirtfish.com/rally/wrc/wrc-d...brid-decision/
ott being ott with these: “I didn’t go too deep into it, to be honest. I don’t know about details and what was the background behind this decision, but in the end, if it’s like this, it’s like this". kimi raikkonen used to be like that too. i wish i were more like that in life, for everything haha
No Qualifying next season is confirmed:

Hyundai i20 Rally2 gets major update for 2025. Hopefully it's much more competitive for WRC2 entrants...

It is 02.12., 7 weeks to Rally Monte Carlo, still no news neither from Hyundai nor M-Sport. Then, in the end of 2025 season Hyundai again would look back for answers how would they manage to lose to Toyota - but it all starts with small details - timely made and clear decisions, safe and well prepared driver lineup etc. We all remember how delayed came H decision to start to develop the HY car that led to wasted season both for Tanak and Neuville. I can understand M-Sport, never ending Cinderella story, but what is the Hyundai issue to be more serious about managing their things?
On some podcast there was some clues revealed, that there will be 3rd fixed driver at Hyundai (Fourmaux most likely, even he blamed everything on the car - Puma on the last few events), and that there is room for 3 simultaneously programmes withing the brand (so WEC, IMSA and WRC). Even updating that Rally2 car can give us some hope on stying in the series, at least for some time. M-Sport will indeed benefit now with hybrid unit taken out, maybe selling out the car or give out for the rent. And they are planning Puma Rally2 model if FIA will made it right. But they are really ones to blame, since all they do is being so undecided all the time and take decisions so late.
Do you think that sitting on very decisive info just to have fun or whatever is a PR and creditability mastermind? I would speculate that some level negotiations are still going on and are waiting for the final approval from Korea. Possibly there were 2 scenarios prepared - one, if WMC would be won and other - if lost. I am just speculating.
I think they only will announce after Monza.
Yep. Fourmaux is driving the M-Sport Puma and still under contact, so Hyundai wont announce him yet.
Negotiations for his replacement at M-Sport are still ongoing and they'll give the possible drivers as long as possible to find the required funding sponsors.
at this point im already assuming Fourmaux is in Hyundai and Msport is going with Sesks and Munster
i also read somewhere cyril talking really well about lappi. if they even run a 4th car in some events next year, i can see lappi being in one or two events tbh. probably 9 full timers.... not good yet imo but better than 6
Carlos Tavares, Stellantis Ceo resigned. repercussions on new Lancia programs to be evaluated.
remind here that the FIA presidential electtions are next year.
i hope mohammed ben sulayem gets kicked out. he promissed in several interviews to help rally, the man did NOTHING.
How long have you been following motorsport? The FiA President has very little time to concentrate on WRC, he even said this himself. The F1 world wants him to put them first - they've been out to get him, since he was elected; he's not one of them, he's an outsider, who comes from rallying.
eh, tbf maybe i believed too much in his words to dirtfish. re-reading his words "This is the beginning. I am here. I have to give more time to rallying, because we can fix it.” i can see more clearly now that is was just P.R. shit. he probably meant "im going to take money from the saudi king" haha
Sami Pajari announced on FB, that he will be partnered with his previous co-driver for 2025. Marko Salminen.
Also Toyota will nominate Rovanpera and Evans to score manufacturer points and the third scoring will be nominated depending on the situation and how the season progress. Where Ogier will be present it will obvious be him, but on the remaining it could be Katsuta and also Pajari.
I dont think anyone at the FIA could fix the problems with the future of WRC and rallying in general.
Until the car industry sorts its ideas out as to the future of car propulsion its impossible to make any decisions.
Everything is in a state of flux, even the Regs for Rally2 which is the most successful formula. Proposals to go with a spaceframe chassis (from Rich Millener of M-Sport) have been very negatively received by everyone on social media.
They are, but there is just no interest in WRC for these bs bosses.. F1 is so wanted and prestigious, because team can make money out of every point and even more for Manus title.. Yes, ,,buy in'' is also many times higher, but there is a chance to earn big money..
Rallying is verrry popular in the world.. just change some rules etc and make WRC great again.
In private business, such ceo's or leaders, who don't achieve their goal, wpuld be sacked very fast..
E: don't remember who said it, but some top driver hinted that this fia boss guy hasn't visited wrc event for a long time in a row (heard it in autumn)..
Next year's Safari Rally will include an extra stage and, as a consequence, even more mileage, apparently:

Fourmaux will be annouced tomorrow as Hyundai full 2025 driver, according Autosport.pt
He will do Rallye Devoluy as test.
Interesting, but expected. Somewhere in September in one of interviews he used wording "...then I will explain my decision..." which clearly in that context meant that decision would be controversial and would require some extra explanation. I doubt that his stay at M-Sport would require "explanation" . If this will happen, expect some surprises from M-Sport - Munster stays on pay-drive, some "under the radar" pay driver for part season sharing the car with some youngster who pays for some events, like Sesks, Rosell or similar - thus 2 cars guaranteed plus some extra pay-drives on regional events.
Fourmaux is in Hyundai then.
Is it a good move? I'm afraid not.

A bit random announcement to me.. noy even in Hyundai clothes :D
but anyway.. good luck for him! This is(proper manus contract) what rally drivers dream of!

(while Neuville's continuing was made like a big show :D )
It really depends.
If the 25 Hyundai has much wider setup window and is better to drive, if not, then good luck to him.
Also deal wise, we haven’t heard Hyundai continuing after 25, if it’s just a one year deal then also not a good decision IMO, especially if he would have a bad year
