More news (by Mr. Holmes) of the Iriz R5 on the last Autosport.pt issue: homologation still likely to happen on 1st January, but the first rally will only be in May (Whangarei, APRC 2nd round); it uses the Evo X engine block (reduced to 1600cc), Xtrac transmission and Reiger suspension; no plans to enter WRC2 Pro next season.

had they homologated a few months earlier teams could have planned with it for 2019, now it could be too late.

Do we know anything of if anyone have ordered it, and if they have a backlog?

Donagh Kelly’s new car for the 2019 Irish Tarmac Championship. He's finally switched to an R5 from his Focus 08 WRC which was winning 2018 ITC events, although not eligible for points. Declan Boyle has also switched to R5 for next year.

Hopefully this will provide competition for the Moffett's in the 2019 Championship.
