Would a better procedure have been for Neuville (driver) to ask his team manager (Ozakinci) to ask the Clerk of the Course/ Organisers for an update on the rocks at kilometre XY? Then the updated rock information could have been provided to all the crews.
I would expect the Rally Commission people to do some 'incident' follow-up.
I dont know what to think about it right now.. Im dissapointed in Neuville, if he was really cheating and he was only one to do that.. :(
There's no means for any single driver to "cheat". How would you picture it? A driver goes to the bad part of Nairobi to hire illegal reconnaissance? Does the driver bring along a friend from his home country and rents him a car to do reconnaissance while hiding it from the team? No way. If you're a private driver with local connections, maybe.Quote:
