Yes I was serious and was in hope of a serious conversation around possibilities, expectations, limits and magic wands. Maybe you saw that as me defending him. Never mind.

Then sorry! It is actually a really interesting topic to discuss about, what would someone choose to do to improve WRC.

From Ben, I was expecting to improve the sport, attract new manufacturers or at least tame the BS Hyundai has given as couple of years where they promise to leave if they don't get what they want. Talk about the sport more, at least fake it to be better than it is etc. But as it was mentioned before, the only thing he cares about is if someone curses on TV or if someone talks bad about FIA.

Facepalm inducing... and even if we remove the points he got with Rally1 in Estonia, he would still be ahead of the best placed Puma. No excuse for Munster and McErlean to be behind a WRC2 driver.

Munster and McErlean are only in WRC1 / Rally1 Cars due to financial backing. Neither has the proven ability or experience to deserve to be at this level.

But if they weren't paying to be there, M-Sport would be out and there'd be even fewer Rally1 cars for fans to watch.

(Plus on their low points scored, it's easier to make mistakes trying to drive a Rally1 without the required skill and experience).

Some updates to the 2026 season including reduced midday service from 40 minutes to 30 minutes, mandatory rest hours and standardised candidate events so we’ll no longer have an event joining the WRC calendar like Saudi this weekend.

Fascinating as to why Paddon is there...

Probably still hoping he will get noticed by Hyundai. As soon as they "will" (big IF) switch to Rally2 car, the seat will be given to Neuville, Fourmaux and probably someone who never actually drive that car or someone who will be a total non-sense choice.

But he constantly winning with that car, while all other struggle each time.

It's not unusual for him to make odd appearances. Maybe there's no great conspiracy.

Yes, it's a long way to come for a rally which is nothing special , unlike others has come to Europe for like Ypres and Donegal...
