I don't think that the weather will be cold enough to get packed ice/snow conditions.
First of all it seems several stages lacks snow completely (like Fredriksberg) and in
those cases subzero temps won't prevent it from being gravel stages.

The first couple cars might experience some semi-ice/slush conditions but the rest of the
pack will probably have pure gravel conditions. Second loop will most likely be pure gravel
especially on Friday and Saturday.

I think both us and the drivers and tire manufacturers should be grateful that they don't use ice racing studs (spikes) (http://www.dn.se/Images/2012/02/07/isracing-dubb-1000.jpg).

Not all cars running at full speed in shakedown, this is due to drivers trying to save tyres, think top drivers will do 1 or 2 fast runs.

Not necessary, any runs in snow will be cancelled. Any runs in excessive rain will be cancelled, any runs with excessive numbers of spectators outside the ZP will be cancelled, any runs with insufficient numbers of spectators outside ZP to assist crews that get stuck etc....

You can see that standing for 8 hours in the rain at Moulinet has left me with a waterlogged soul regarding the ACdeM's ability to organise a party in a distillery!

Breen has been here before in the S2000 Fiesta, he was about 6 minutes of Ogier who was top S2000, if he gets as close this time he'll be in and about the top 10!

Yes, for Gorban yes. Here in Ukraine we didn't have snow rally (past of years ago we have few attepts, but weather didn't support this try). And Karstatd SSS is not an easy stage, a lot of controlling sideways reqierid. I think Gorban didn't feel confident at snow, and he is not top class driver with natural talent - so he must spent a time to give good feedback from a car at snow. So yes, better cruise this 2km stage safe, and on next stages get confidence, speed and others good things. IMHO

And we didn't know yet, surive or not Gorban this long liason to service. And Rally only from section7 it's Day3.

So we have a newbie here ;) Mickey Mouse stages do not require to go flat out as you can loose more than win. Most of the drivers are taking more easy approach in Mickey Mouse stages, specially those who do not feel themselves very comfortable on snow. 5 seconds is really nothing as the real rally starts today with longer forest stages.

On the contrary its a different darker and more "fullier"sound then the current gen of Rally Cars.
The current WRC cars are loud but still sounds awful. sound pitch is too high/bright which is a result
of the smaller engines.

Although no car is even near the Quattro. ;)
