Will JML be asked to finish on the podium and get some points for Ford, or go all out for the win do you think? I assume he will be asked to ignore Petter and focus on the factory Citroens.

I'm just on a liason from Jukojärvi 1 to Sirkkamäki. I don't know if someone has already told you details about Mikko's off, the corner where he rolled is Mikko's favourite place, a very high speed right hander over a jump and they fly sideways for a pretty long time. Most likely Mikko has had some steering problems (Krisse Sohlberg talked about a power steering failure) because the place isn't so called "action place". Ofcourse there's always a chance that Mikko just came too fast to the corner.

In our place in Jukojärvi one UAE Fiesta visited the ditch and it took four minutes to get it back on to the road. Now towards Sirkkamäki.

Miika
30th July 2010, 09:52
Apparently Mikko broke the power steering in a jump before the right-hander and then went into the right-hander with the broken steering and rolled big time. (?)

EDIT: And no super-rally for Mikko either.

Yes, this is the most likely scenario because after the jump there's no proper corners for 300 metres. So the corner where he rolled is the first place after the jump where you really need to turn the wheel.

On the previous stage there was big rock on the line. Salo hit that Rock with the front. Tänak managed to avoid it with the front but hit it with the rear wheel and bent the wheel and drove last stage with bent rear wheel. Also Ketomäki hit it and broke the tire. and many other drivers seems to have hit it.

very nice rally so far....hope Loeb pushes a bit more, same for ogier so the battle then will be epic !!! but i think its vital for the citroen guys to let Latvala lead the way tommorow and follow his lines plus if there is little sweeping they can take advantage of....

I would like Latvala to win since he deserves a win in his home rally, or maybe Solberg so we can all have a bath in finnish tears.....the dillema is big....Latvala or tear bath ???? Hmmmmm...

I think Ketomaa is ready for a proper rally car to mix it with the big boys where he probably belongs....

A bit dissapointed at Juhas times....i would expect him to be better than Kimmi at least who is also useless here losing ONCE more to wilson...pfffft

I'm inclined to agree. I really like Toni, and he is a good solid driver on all surfaces but perhaps missing that last little bit of speed and it shows here as there are some very fast drivers in S2000 cars here.

Toni would still be a good choice for 2nd driver in a WRC team, if there were lots of teams, but sadly there are not yet (even with Mini coming along)

Really hope to see Ketomaa continue, the battle between him and Hanninen is one of the most interesting things in this rally at the moment.

Petter could still challenge if sweeping is an issue on the 3 next stages. I don't know if its true or not, but Solberg seems to think he's slow as he's got no experience of these stages - hopefully his extensive experience on the next 3 will bring him back to the pace to challenge JML and Little Seb - Loeb is best ignored as he's too fast.

Yes.

They started to get problems on SS5, first they though that it was the driveshaft that went broken but it turned out to be a shaft in the gearbox.
However the mechanics managed to fix that at the service.

Then on SS8 yesterday they damaged the frontright shock absorber and had to drive with it the last 4 stages yesterday

Then Today on SS14 the engine lost its oilpressure and it was game over for Flodin.
