Well, really I believe that was my fault :( . It seems danish championship begins in May indeed. Otherwise, many good danish crews are expected at Wikinger rally. Thnx Pucky :)

This evening first two stages of Wikinger rally. Tomorrow another 10 ss else. On line results should be found here http://www.rallyresult.dk/results.aspx?eventid=183

morganmilan
26th March 2010, 21:03
It looks like ss2 has been suspended after an accident of Anton Werner with his Porsche. At first stage M.Wallenwein and M.Kahle got an 1-2 with their Fabia s200:) , and S.Wallenwein third with Subaru

morganmilan
26th March 2010, 21:13
Well, really it seems that there have been two accidents: Werner and de Fries, and first leg has been stopped :(

wwbroe
26th March 2010, 21:56
I guess it were serious accidents then, i mean to stop the rally? Do you have more info about it? :(

CWJ
26th March 2010, 22:09
no, not serious, but only 2 stages today and there was a time delay of at least 35 minutes already in heavy rain and stage not clear again so they decided to stop stage 2.

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 11:11
After SS5, Kahle leads with S.Wallenwein behind (only 2.4 sec), and Noller third. M.Wallenwein with the other Fabia is now fifth (almost one and a half minute behind leader), and Herbold leading 2WD with his Honda

HaCo
27th March 2010, 11:28
So where is Kahle on SS6? Have to say that some of these N4's in the German championship go VERY well!

Wim_Impreza
27th March 2010, 11:30
Problems for Kahle in SS6?

HaCo: the heavy rain of yesterday evening is of course good for the Group N cars. ;)

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 12:43
What a fight!! S.Wallenwein and Kahle absolutely in same time after eight ss! M.wallenwein goes up to third position. Sandro´s pace is very impressive with a little less rain than yesterday against s2000! :) (and Kahle goes on as a very good driver after his last two years halfwithdrawn)

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 13:08
It´s very impressive too seeing Herbold´s Civic and Stebani´s Opel in front of Dobberkau´s Porsche. Last year was not that way...

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 14:06
Ninth stage: Kahle in lead with 4.5 sec advantage...Three ss to go

HaCo
27th March 2010, 15:27
What a great rally, top 4 in less than a minute! I'm quite jalous of the germans, who have a nice and more or less balanced starting field. And look in front, only 1.8 between one and two! :D

Do you really think N4 can compete better with S2000 when it has rained? I think it's more a question of tallent. How good are the N4's we see in Germany? Do they have the latest evolutions?

Wim_Impreza
27th March 2010, 16:31
Sandro Wallenwein and Hermann Gaßner have the latest evolutions on their cars and Corazza was already really fast with his Lancer Evo 7 in the past years. Rain is always better for a Group N car than dry weather, we all know that.

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 16:33
Only 16 seconds between first (Kahle) and third (M.Wallenwein). Sandro between them 7 sec behind Kahle. And only one ss to go! :) . I believe, HaCo, wet surfaces make less gap between N4 and S2000, but S2000 are fastest over all surfaces. But, you´re right, tallent is important and Sandro is faster than Gassner or Corazza (Noller has got some very good times). Sandro has a very evolutionated Subaru, i guess, but Noller drives an Evo VIII!

morganmilan
27th March 2010, 16:40
well, it looks like Kahle has won, S.Wallenwein, second and M.Wallenwein third, so 1-3 for Skoda :)

Indeed, HaCo. After nine ss positions remain the same (except Mark going third and Sandro fourth). Wittmann is making today a splendid race and has got 11.1 sec ahead from Kahle, who was first yesterday.

Superb pictures as usual Jolle!
In DRM after 3 rallyes (two else to go), standings are very interesant with four drivers at the top with only four points between them. Official standings are not published yet, but I believe we have S.Wallenwein (62 pts), Herbold (61), Mysliwietz (60) and Kahle (58) at top positions. Then fifth M.Wallenwein (but 41 pts). Very hard battle for the title...

Point system of DRM is very strange for me.

jolle1982
30th May 2010, 19:50
there are points in overall classment and division points! porsche s2000 and group n are divison 1, R3 division 2, r2 division 3! herbold become maximal points on wikinger, vogelsberg and second place in sachsen and in every three rallye points in overall classment! mysliwitz become in all three rallys maximal divisons points and a few points in overal classment! in division 1 are to many drivers which the take away points eachother!thats a bad system!!

Genau, Jarek! :) Dobberkau won first time this year, but I think he´s out of title battle. Yes, point sistem is a bit complicated. It´s supposed to be an option for less powerful cars drivers to fight for being german champion. I think it´s not such a bad idea, but I´m really not sure at all... :D

That is something for me: Porsche 911 in front of S2000-and not to forget, a top driver in S2000.....I like it.....Shame for all drivers with four wheel drive...Now, as Vallejo changed his 911 for a Fiesta, Olaf Dobberkau is the last European driver, who is capable to ''destroy'' drivers in S2000 cars....

vino_93

this system of points is the same in France. I don't like this too ... :(

morganmilan
1st June 2010, 09:06
Point scoring system is an issue that can be opinable. What it´s a shame IMO is a championship with only five rallyes. One failure and your options to fight for the title are almost over. DRM should have unless 7 or 8 scoring rallyes as another national championships. Besides it´s too short!!!

morganmilan
1st June 2010, 09:10

Rally Eifel ended and Kahle got a new victory with 28 sec ahead Dobberkau, 41.6 sec ahead M.Wallenwein, more than a minute ahead S.Wallenwein and more than two minutes ahead Gassner. Mohe won 2WD and Burkart, first time with a s2000, only got twelfth position. Good result for Skoda (first and third) in order to win DRM. Link for final results

OK Wim, thnx, I suppose it was with the same car from Racing Lions. I haven´t found results from that rally (Casentino). At Burkart´s own website there´s no news about that (at least I haven´t red) and only about Eifel

After Eifel, with only Saarland to run, at DRM, Kahle is new leader with 83 points. After him, Mysliwietz (76), SWallenwein (74), Herbold (73) and MWallenwein, Dobberkau and Mohe (all of them 59). So title is to be decided at last round with 7 contenders

Today is rallye Baden-Wurttemberg running. I forgot to say it´s also scoring round for Mitropa Cup. Gassner goes in front of tis cup, with Slehofer (Fiat) ans slovenian Asja Zupanc (Mitsubishi) as strongest contenders. All of them are running the rallye. Sorry for not mentioning that.
After three stages, Gassner leads, then Noller, Zupanc and Slehofer (first 2WD)

Wim_Impreza

Gaßner (Evo 10) still leads after SS5 before Noller (Evo 8 MR), fast Slovenian female driver Zupanč and the Czech drivers Tošovský (Evo 9) and Šlehofer (Punto S1600).

Can you tell us the contenders? Thank you. :)

morganmilan
1st September 2010, 16:48
You´re welcome Tolis :) . Kahle is principal favourite, but Mysliwietz and Herbold will probably win their classes and score many points as in previous races. SWallenwein runs directly against Kahle and must take unless 10 points more. MWallenwein, Mohe and Dobberkau, who are fifth at championship, have nowadays 59 points (all of them) and are a little bit far from leader. If Kahle has got problems, Mysliwietz or Herbold would give a very big surprise

Maybe... I suppose it´s a question of choice, although, certainly, if Mysliwietz became champion, it wouldn´t be representative at all...

morganmilan
3rd September 2010, 18:36
Saarlad rally is on the run...First two ss and MWallenwein is first, and Kahle only third behind Dobberkau. At div2 Herbold (contender for title) is second behind Mohe, and at div3 Neuville takes advantage from Mysliwietz (current second at DRM)

morganmilan
4th September 2010, 00:14
End of first leg: MWallenwein goes on as leader, and following Dobberkau, Kahle and SWallenwein, so Kahle would took only 18 points for championship. Herbold is third on his class (after Princen and Mohe) and Mysliwietz is second (after Neuville: 1 min 36 sec in four ss!!). So with current situation Kahle would become champion. Let´s wait for tomorrow...

morganmilan
5th September 2010, 09:09
Yesterday ended finally saarland rally and DRM 2010: MWallenwein surprised and won the rally ahead of Kahle (1-2 for Skoda) and Dobberkau. At div 2 won Mohe, then Princen and Herbold, and at div 3 won Neuville in front of Mysliwietz. Kahle didn´t fail and took his seventh german title ;)

2-SWallenwein-Poschner (div1)-92 pt
3-Mysliwietz-Schumacher (div3)-91 pt
4-Mwallenwein-Kopczyk (div1)-89 pt

Who is champion in Division 2, Felix Herbold or Carsten Mohe?

Nice to hear from you again Wim ;) . Herbold is champion. Mohe made a better season with three victories, but his failure at Hessen with 0 points broke his expectations to become champion. Herbold, however, scored points at all the rounds..
Iagree with you: five rallyes are too few, and one failure is almost impossible to recover, and points system gives too much importance to division points instead of scratch points

Wim_Impreza
8th September 2010, 15:48
Thank you for the answer and the nice words.

Princen let pass Mohe in the standings at the end of the rally, because both thought Mohe would be champion in the Division 3 than. Mohe asked Princen to drive this rally to have a driver between him and Herbold in the Division 3 class. Even a good driver as Carsten Mohe finds the German points system too difficult to understand...

Hopefully there will be an other points system next year and it should be great if there will be one event more in the national calendar.

Right Mirek, 98% gravel. I suppose Dobberkau will run with the Lancer, and Werner with the Porsche unless he get another car in time (IMHO very difficult if possible). We´ll see the entrylist. Excuse me, what's the difference between the Meisterschaft (DRM) and the Series (DRS)?
You´re welcome :) . German rally scene is a bit complicated. DRM is the major championship, with five rallyes this year, and its winner, Kahle, becomes german rally champion. DRS is akind of second league, organized by AvD, with seven rallyes this year, and with a point system a little different (entry is given 10 points), and WRC cars are allowed to entry in most rallyes (not at DRM)

31st October 2010, 16:41
With german saison just finished, it´s time to think a while about what´s over and to come. German DRM needs more rallyes in calendar. Five is not enough, and a gravel one as Lausitz would be ok, although championship would become maybe quite a little far expensive for teams.
There are some good drivers although rather aged to make international career: Kahle, Gassner sr, Dobberkau, Werner, Muschiol, Mysliwietz, etc. Better young ones are probably Mark Wallenwein (23 y.o.), Felix Herbold (25 and very impressive weith Fiesta s2000 at rallyesprint this weekend) and maybe C.Riedemann (23). Gassner (21) is fast and young but I would see him jumping to a new 1.6 T to face his real pace. WRC results arent too much convincing. I find Burkart (28) as a perfect driver for championships like ERC or regional cups. He´s got JWRC title at last, but I think this will be his highest success in WRC, although I wish I was wrong. I would like to see him at the wheel of a more powerful car too :)

morganmilan
31st October 2010, 16:49
To complete last post I must say that other two things else are probably very necessary. On one hand a new point system at DRM with more points to rally final scratch and less to class results, and perhaps leg points aside. On the other one, more german teams should race outside Germany and not only at cups as Mitropa or Lausitz, but ERC and IRC. Well, it´s just only a money matter now... :D

Thanks for a great video once more. I have been following this thread so many times already but just haven´t given a go to write anything yet.

Anyway can´t wait to spectate some events in Germany at the future as I will be moving from Finland to Mülheim an der Ruhr to live with my girlfriend when the paper war is done. In the end my first ever national experience to German ralllying at national level was at last year in some event at Hildesheim when my girlfriend was still living in there.

Hopefully the next season will be good and the regulars and maybe even a few more drivers to top classes could sign in. As has been said I also think that the championship needs some changes for the system and maybe an event or a few more. What comes to cars,an increasing numbers of S2000´s worldwide still looks promising.

Will surely keep checking this thread for updates and rallyes.

Germany gravel cup came to an end last weekend with High Forest Rallyefestival. The round was won by Wilfried Brunken (Evo 6), and second place for Jaakko Keskinen, finn, with Evo 10. Keskinen is now gravel champion here in Germany. Is he a well-known driver in Finland? Anyway, congratulations to him :)

Mixa
15th November 2010, 14:08
No,he isn´t if I´m not mistaken. What I was reading from some news before this his earlier championship were from rallysprint series here in Finland 11 years ago. He also said on the article that he got so many trophies and the German´s really seem to love them. Also on the news was this:

For the championship Keskinen earned for himself a nice amount of price money. The Finn still made a noble thing and donated the price money back to the series organiser.

"We made an agreement with the series organiser that the price money will be used to deveploment of the series and for some sort of stipend system. One possibility would be example that from Germany someone could come to drive one gravel rally for Finland." Keskinen were wondering.

Still keep the news coming. Can´t wait to hear how DRM is taking shape for next year.

Hello guys! I was spectating a historic Rallye Koeln - Ahrweiler on the last weekend in Germany. The weather was ****, but the event itself was very nice. I just thought that someone of you would like to see some classic Audi Quattros, Porsches 911 or Toyota Celicas. In this case here is my photo gallery. Enjoy! :)

Chaotic and sad situation for rallying in Germany. Up by now, there isn´t any deal between organizers of DRM and DRS. So , next season, it appears to bring two championships, without clear structure, and with totally different calendars  . Important rallyes are now in DRS calendar already published as Wartburg, Sachsen or Lausitz. So, they can´t be eligible scoring rounds for DRM, unless an ultimate agreement be possible  .
The worst thing is that important teams as Skoda (Kahle and MWallenwein) or Robotracing (Herbold-Ford s2000) are thinking about not running DRM. Even there are rumours of Skoda Deutschland making IRC  . DRM calendar is going to be known soon anyway. Let´s see...

Why not? Have you gote some news about that? It´s certain we´ll have probably less topteams this year at DRM, but we must wait and see what both DRM and DRS bring. And, wether german top drivers don´t run home to make it abroad instead, we have really no problem. The goal is keeping on the run, wherever it is

The Danish Champion, Karl-Åge Jensen, has retired and his Peugeot 207 S2000 is sold to a guy called Esben Hegelund. He has until now driven a BMW M3 and has stated that he 'will take it easy' in the new car in 2011. Don't know if he will do the Wikinger.

Danish Champion 2009, Christian Jensen, has bought a new Peugeot 207 S2000 and is assembling it in his workshop now. It should be ready for Wikinger.

Ib Kragh has bought Chrstian Jensens old Peugeot 207 S2000 and he should also be ready for Wikinger.

Ib Kraghs Abarth Grande Punto has been sold to Klaus Hammer. He crashed in a Mitsubishi Lancer in Wikinger rally last year, so I don't know if he will use that rally as a debut for the Punto :-) I have not seen his plans for this year.
