Tough event; anything can happen on these conditions but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Basso easing the pace as he’s on his own at the CIR classification. Btw, Força Antunes!

Plus Breen; my money’s on him. Btw, nice show from MRF rubber so far; they’re doing better than Michelin.

Yep, definitely there’s something with the car and it’d be interesting to talk about it on R5 thread.

Fourmaux hasn't really shown that well in any event in an R5, be it the new Fiesta or old one. They sent Fourmaux because he can be blamed if the car looks slow. I hope at least that M-Sport actually paid for his drive if they're going to have a go at him...

It's hard to state the case against the Fiesta R5 Mk2 here in Rome when Formaux has a puncture then crash, Mayr-Melnhof had an engine issue & puncture and Cais damaged the suspension.

M-Sport team principal Richard Millener told DirtFish: “Adrien rolled in the second stage. This is a massive disappointment for us. We came here to show what the car was capable of and we’re not going to get the chance to set a single time".

“Firstly, I am relieved they are both OK, it has been a huge impact and although I understand it’s a very fine line between bringing the car to the finish and pushing to be competitive, we needed Adrien to find that balance. He hasn’t and now we have a car which is destroyed. We had high hopes for Adrien. Like I said, very disappointing.”

Great SS4 by Breen, loves this narrow stage.

Herczig stopped - off road, hit tree & puncture.

Oliver Solberg - Quick glasses update: they were too damaged and couldn’t be fixed, so we go on without!

Herczig crashed, maybe as a result of the crash.

Regarding Oliver, are you allowed to race if you need glasses but are not using them?

I think Oliver only just started wearing glasses so his eyesight can't be too bad?

Really impressed by Lukyanuk so far this rally. Fast and consistent with some strong competition present.

I'm sure I've seen pictures of him as a kid wearing glasses.
