You are correct. The tides reach as much as 53 ft or 16 m. The mouth of the bay, from the tip of Nova Scotia to the coast, is just about opposite from the border at Calais Maine, so no part is in the US.

Yes, it forms a (highly secure ) portion of the border between Canada and the USA. The house visible on the other side is in Washington State whereas the Canadian side is in Tsawwassen, a suburb just south of Vancouver. More significantly, although technically not an enclave, the US side is one of a few areas that has road access only via Canada.

Depends how you dray the line from the southern tip of Nova Scotia to the closest part of the mainland. On a map that would put it right about Calais. I've also been on Grand Manan island, which is directly off the coast of Maine, yet is Canadian. So there.
