Green Eyes by Stevegane Project and Soft Machine's oldies. Pat Metheny is next in line.

Although I must confess that Guns N'Roses with their last album did it for me last night.

This week on the shed player,

Soundgarden - superunknown (really dig this album, it has the monster riffs of BadMotorFinger but with better production. "The day I tried to Live" is a favourite.)

You Am I - Hourly Daily (brilliant guitar rock that has moments of sublime pop ear-worm at seemingly regular intervals. A "desert Island top 10" album.)

Joe Jackson - Jumpin' Jive (was given a vinyl copy of this as a lad, given that Eddie Van Halen was my idol at the time. It rusted onto my heart, I have always had a copy
of this album close to hand since then).

Now, I was just browsing the U-toobs and stumbled upon one of my favourite pop (yes POP) songs of all time. I defy anyone to not sing along to any part of this tune, once it has ear-wormed its way into your brain, you will not look at catchy pop tunes the same way

Okay, last one. Not a pop tune, but I have followed this band for a long time and they are an absolute fave - and they can write a pop tune (but this one isnt)
