Come on! Give the guy some credit, at least he didnt touch the ground with the roof of his Fiesta during the whole rally. And most of the car was in one piece by the end of the rally! That is an improvement!

just came back from my 29th Acropolis rally.
Today i watched as sceduled 3 stages,Agioi Theodoroi 1&2 and power stage.Power stage was the first 4 km of Agioi Theodoroi,so you could watch 3 different stages without using a car.
Congrats to Loeb and Elena for their

victory.Well deserved all the 28 points they earned. At morning i was at 4th km of Agioi Theodoroi in a very fast left to right corner.Again same scenery as previous days. Not very wide, early in gas in exits and fast.Mikko same but with less speed and always in center of road.
Petter again very wide touching the mound of the road.Latvala same as Petter.Same at next spots we watched. At power stage was at the finish line at last corner,a left 5th gear flat out with very wide road coming from a 5th gear right one.
Mistake for Mikkelsen, but at his first Acropolis and flat out hunting Ogier, think he can be ''forgiven''
Congrats to Ogier for his speed and his effectiveness.Perfect job he done.
Bluuford was totally correct for his weather forecast. At morning sunny at this stage as he said.At second pass was cloudy, and at power stage he said high possibility for showers. We had a little shower at the beginning of power stage but so little that road conditions didn t change. This guy is crazy!!Two days was almost 99% right at his predictions for each stage i watched.
About Petter what can i say? If you read my Friday and Saturday posts you will see that i was waiting for the drama to happen.
I watched 12 stages, and Petter wasn t overdriving just at Ziria stage,at all the others was clearly visible that was at +100%.
Big mistake for him and for Ford.Everything is lost now, even their confidence.
For me he had to settle for 2nd position and not overdriving,he was 2nd at drivers champ,he could grab the chance if Loeb would give to him at next rallies with a retirement with so small diff in points they had.Now even Loeb retires he would be again leader with margin. Also lost the 2nd position from Mikko at drivers champ.
Same mistake for Petter as Jaris previous ones.
The big laugh is Malcolms interview at wrc.com
World Rally Championship - News - Wilson upbeat despite Solberg exit
lololololol.
Finally a good rally with 2 days watching the dogfight,a well deserved winner, plenty of stages for me(12+ shakedown) easy going from stage to stage except 2 occasions we had to drive a bit fast, and nice rallyblood guys i met.
Rallyper hope you enjoyed the Acropolis rally and your stay in my country.

Just got back !! what an amazing event !! I had the best time of my life... EPIC !!!
Only solbergs retirement left me a sour taste and did not have the will to go watch another stage today after i saw him run through all these emotions with his retirement... but this is rallying and that is what happens when you try to beat the best...but at least he went out with his head high and a fighting spirit.
Pictures from todays AMAZING JUMP and also solbergs retirement aftermath and fuchs also can be viewed here

You must be about as old as me as that's the way I thought until I looked back on the first historic rally I worked on! It was the historic rally tagged on to the 1988 Manx International and the...
