soccer on speed?
Just a few questions I would like some input on all fans from no matter what your favorite type of racing is. I am sure we are all aware of the fact speed is showing soccer this morning instead of their usual lineup of reruns. Is this a sign of things too come? Are we going to see more of this on speed? Do you welcome this or not? Finally is this a sign of just how far in popularity racing (nascar in particular since it is the main subject of the channel) has fallen? If NASCAR can no longer pay the bills the entire sport in this country when it comes to tv might be in big trouble.

I think it's just like when the Olympics is showing events on networks that never show sports. There is so much going on at the same time. The network (in this case Fox networks which also own Speed) was showing soccer because it was the final day of the EPL season and all games by rule start at exactly the same time on this important day. There were EPL games also on FSN, FX, Speed, and Fox Soccer (of course). ESPN2 (not owned by Fox) also had the Man City-QPR game.
It's just this particular day, not a sign of things to come.¿Quién es el que anda aquí?

On Fairfax websites the relevant sport section is Football.
But only in some News Ltd newspapers like Melbourne's Herald-Sun or Sydney's Daily Telegraph it's soccer, but it's usually the illiterate newspapers:

News Ltd's darling The Australian does not:

This from a nation whose highest selling beer is named incorrectly. "Victoria Bitter" is actually a lager; a not very good one other. The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!
