    IROC: Gone for good?

If you go to http://www.irocracing.com there's a series of pages of pictures to "thank fans for the past 30 years". Is that a tombstone or a mid-life crisis?

It doesn't look good for IROC.

I wonder how much longer Roger Penske, Les Richter, and Jay Signore want to keep this project going? They're probably ready to let it go. It's apparent that there isn't enough interest in it from the fans.

The fat lady hasn't sung yet, but she sure is warmed up and ready. They can't get a sponsor and without one, there is no IROC; sounds like a death knell to me.

quite a shame if it's true, though the series was a watered down version in recent years. looking at that list it's interesting to see how it became a veritable playground for Nascar drivers.

Looks like it is over. I watched them at California Speedway. It was so much fun. So many of the champions from the different series would not come to IROC. I think it should have been mandatory. Win a champion go do IROC.
