The best part of the race to me was the blue duce bump n' run on 4time , to bad it could'nt stick. My Roushkateers looked like the go or go home gang. It's hard to get all revved up about Kenseth hanging on to first car one lap down , but that is all I had. Petty Fords ran well (Dinger and Kane), but Kasey popped one of the new FR9's , and that's not a good sign. Still, this track reminds me of the Milwaukee Mile and as such that's just how the racing sort of gos. Lead car and clean air rule, and if you struggle for long you will be a lap down.

I have to add the 48 cars dominance is something to behold. We will all look back on this era as Jimmy time. That team is such a machine. I know we all get sick of hearing it (esp. us blue oval faithful), but they are the authors of the book on winning championships in the modern era. I know Gibbs , Childress , and even Ernhardt/Ginnasy are making statements , but this is the time of year that the Jimmy and Chad show takes it to another level.

The closing laps were pretty cool. Montoya got shafted... no way Sorenson should have been racing for payback when he's laps down & Montoya is top 5.

I think Montoya had dropped out of the top 10 at the time due to his run-in with Jeff Gordon. It messed the splitter on the right front. That's why Sorenson was even alongside him in the first place, but yes he had run top 5 up until that point all day.

That 48 driver is such a whinger, and a bad sport. Kurt gave him a clean bump a run, and it worked, the 48 only won because his car was better. ]

If we do the maths, the 48 a wiped out more drivers at Tally in a few races, than Kurt or anyone else has wrecked in their whole careers. Just ask Jeff Gordon to vouch on this one.
