It's certainly a good excuse if he's not on the pace

Seriously though, I don't think those shakedown times are that realistic. I don't expect Sarrazin to be that far off the pace, and I don't expect the Protons to be that slow either.

Kopecky is on good form at the moment though, hope he can continue that on the rally.

VFTS - you're right, but if the SD pace is representative of actual pace, Andreas will really struggle for top 5. I've always thought he looks more comfortable on tarmac than gravel, so lack of tarmac experience isn't really an excuse. But you are right that it's his Fiesta debut on tarmac, so I'll let him off this weekend

I also agree with you RS - Sarrazin will be much nearer the front than that.

I think Andreas will struggle to be inside the top 5. If he is in the top 8 at the end of the first day, it should be good I think.

Perhaps the car isn't so developed as the 207 and the Fabia but Im sure with a good set up it can be as fast, Fiesta
has already won some tarmac events through Europe, ofcourse you might have to be a little bit more often on the limit.

Just back from SD, saw this happen and he had a big warning on the same place on his first run!

Nice weather, lots of multinational crowd, great cars and drivers, perfect!
