Hodgson to Yamaha France?
Rumour has Neil Hodgson on his way to Yamaha France as of Donnington Park (Euro round).
This would be a good scenario for the WSBK championship but one questions if the equipment is good enough.
I for one see this as a bit of a backward step for NH, but perhaps a ride is better than not a ride.
Max chose to sit out the year last year and wait for the right ride.
What is Neil to do?

My understanding was that Hodgson would only go if Yamaha Japan supported the team and the team needs to secure additional funding - is Hodgson bringing a new sponsor with him perhaps???
There is another rumour doing the rounds that he might also ride on a satellite HRC bike alongside Leon Camier in BSB. This one sounds pretty unrealistic to me but you never know.

I agree that Neil should sit the year out (and I'm not just saying that because I dislike him). Going mid-year to Yamaha France would potentially do more harm that good. Plus with the rumours floating around about the likes of Troy Bayliss, Troy Corser, Yukio Kagayama etc a few choice WSBK rides may become available next year. Hodgy would be better off waiting for that imo.

Interesting hypothesis. The only flaw in your analysis is that those were better cars than the SF25. All of those cars won races. In fact, the Chinese GP, where Hamilton won the Sprint race, is along...
