I don't know what Pauli did when he retired from International competition so he might have done snow-cross but he did have a son who was 4 or 5 when we were in France together in 1977-79, I really can't remember the boys name but we were great friends. A nice small town in France called Conneré just north of Le mans would let us International cross guys stay at the municipal campground for free since we shopped in town and drank in town and there were no "other kids" for poiki to play with so I would chase him and ambush him
like jumping out of trees and throwing him UP into trees or bursting out of the van when he was passing and "fighting" giant hours long fights with him.

That kid was the toughest kid I ever met and only cried one time: when they were returning to Rovaniemi and he was told "the Monster' was not coming...
So maybe it was his son.
Can't be too many Pauli Piipola from the Home of the Arctic rally.

Ahaa ok thats what i tought, he is quite a legend, i think i remember a commersial where he was driving with Markku Alen too, Pauli with snowmobile, Alen with car.

Mjöd = yeast + sugar + few days of bubbling.

Better mjöd = water + lot of yeast + lot of sugar + few weeks of bubbling.
