FIA GT1 and LMGT 1
I am curious why Maserati are not racing at Le Mans. I heard that the rules in LMS for GT1 cars are very different to the rules in FIA GT. Is this true?

MC12 is too big for ACO standards but it did manage to compete in ALMS for a short while.
FIA GT and ACO are homolgating their GT rules in a few years. The world according to Taki Inoue: https://mobile.twitter.com/takiinoue/st ... 7249326080

The GT1 rules were indeed different and the MC12 didn't comply with the ACO (Le Mans) rules, however the new GT1 rules used in the new GT1 World Championship have been developed by SRO (FIA GT) together with the ACO so cars will be able to participate in both series.
