it is dificult to describe with words, i hope my pictures helps a bit to understand what great and unique event it was....

like travelling back in time!

Great images! Is it an easy event to follow? How manystages can you get to see in a day? Would really like to go next year.

the event official start´s on friday at 17:00, then the cars must be brought to parc ferme, but there is a lot to watch already before, scruteneering, preperation of the cars..and recce of corse!

at 20:00 stage 1 starts, followed by two more stages on friday evening/night, i did stage 1 directly after the start, after 30 cars i left for the superspecial near the parc ferme/headquater, it is very crowded, so early arrival is very important to get a good place to watch! i decided to stay at the superspecial until the end, but it would have been easely possible to reach also the 3rd stage (same as 1st!) it is only 15 km from center.

second day starts at 12:00, 6 stages where on the programm, i saw 4 of them...
left stage 4 after 30 cars, than 20km to stage 6 midpoint, there i watched about 60 cars, back to stage 7 (same as 4, same place) and again after 30 cars to stage 9 at the start, (15 km from stage 7) there i watched 60 cars , but if i had known that the teams do donuts after they cross the finish-ramp, i would have left stage 9 after 30 cars, but anyway, 6 stages out of 9 without problems is quiet ok!

the landscape is fantastic, the people are friendly, the food and wine great and the weather was warm and sunny (20-25°) the only problem in the future may be to much spectators, the final stage was stopped after 80 cars because of to many spectators beside the road, i talked to many people who where already a few times there and they said there are every year more people as the event gets more popular from year to year...

but this is only a problem on the stages, the italiens stay on the stages usually, there is very low traffic between the stages and i had no traffic jam due to the rally all 2 days!

That info is very helpful, thank you! On the accomodation front did you have any problems finding somewhere to stay and how far did you book in advance? I really have to go as would love to see a Delta S4 in Totip colours in action!
