Can a rear engine mount be regulation?

So, i have a classic mini cooper, and I really want to make it a powerful rally car. I used to own a jeep and i loved to race that off road. As you might know, minis arent exactly known for the large engine compartment. I want a large, powerful engine and the only way I can see it fitting is if it was rear mounted where the back seat might normally be, front wheel drive. Would this fit within rally car regulations? i cant seem to find any definitive information about whether the engine is required to be front mounted. Please help, i would love to build this, but i would of course want to race it which requires following certain guidlines.

It would depend on what the regulations of the events in your country are.

Certainly it will not fit into any of the classes in international rallying.

Seems a shame to chop up a classic car, when there may be cheaper and more effective options.

As Bowler says it would depend on the regulations of your country..

Have a look at Z cars website http://www.zcars.org.uk/montecarlo/index.htm they do several mini conversions inc mid engined rwd space framed machines.. with a variety of engines ranging from Hayabusa to Honda V-tecs, very impressive.

Many people start with a bottled sauce and doctor it up. mmonice sell AOC Gold You can cut the thickness (bottled sauces are usually too thick) and boost the spice fairly easily. My favorite bottled sauce is Maull's, out of St. Louis, and here are some ideas on how to doctor it. Start by simmering a bottle of sauce over low heat. Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of cider vinegar or rice vinegar. Or put in the same amount of beer.AOC power leveling A lot of people use Pepsi, which gives a sweet, caramel flavor. Add a tablespoon of granulated or fresh garlic. Throw in a little chili powder for an outdoorsy quality. Maybe add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.Age of Conan Gold A tablespoon of butter or prepared mustard tastes good, too. And you'd be surprised by how many sauces have a little chocolate in them. Buy AOC Gold
