10th June 2008, 07:05 #21Jeeze, DTD you sound like the old Japanese men they found in caves years after the war was over. Do you really think the IRL fans are the ONLY victims in the abuse game? If so you didn't frequent many Champ Car or CART forums, did you?

I say this with a smile on my face, so don't get me wrong. I know Ed is not a road course specialist. I know he won't do as well at the RC as he does on the ovals. And I know if he stumbles you guys will let me know. I get it. But I still think when it all shakes out at the end of the year he'll have done better than most would have given him credit for. That's all I'm saying.

Out of all the races that are left on the schedule, which do you think Ed has the best chance for a victory?
Definitly Chicago and Kentucky are probably his best chances, but I would say that a place like Richmond is where he could pull of a miracle, esp. if the race is full of accidents and he happens to avoid them.
What do you think?

17th June 2008, 23:01 #27And what incentive does that give the other 20 cars? The euro system may reward winning, but it doesn't recognize consistency and it doesn't punish mistakes. The euro system also promotes the win or wreck mentality that gets people hurt.

20th June 2008, 21:37 #29Maybe a tough assignment for Downtowndeco? He'd be at a loss for words without the conflict. Regardless how authentic the criticism was of Ed Carpenter or Danica Patrick.
