I have said that for a long time. The rally is a dinosaur in this age and time and should be dropped. Tradition and history is well enough, but Monte has survived itself. Lets just make a bet how many stages will be cancelled tomorrow? 2, 3 or 4? It`s just a matter of numbers - and it won`t give great odds to predict that some hassle surely will occur. Agan...

Yes i completley agree. Monte Carlo has had this problem for many years now, and FIA keeps the rally because of its status, Monte Carlo has been in the calendar for quite a while now. Its a classic event. But if they cant solve and get rid of this problem, i think they have to consider throwing it out from the calendar!

I dont know for sure but I cant see that it would. The problem, as far as I can tell, with the Monte is that there is a minimal number of routes up to a stage, meaning masses of traffic, and once you get there you have to be pretty much right next to the track, as there is nowhere else to stand. From what Ive seen of the Safari its big wide open spaces.

Ive never been to either, I'm just going on what I've seen on the TV!

    shakedown

Can somebody translate this text please?

    Thanks

Ok, I don't follow the Irish one, but i am well aware of the French one and believe me - however Cuoq is definitely not a tarmac specialist like Bengue for example, he will be miles ahead of MacHale...

How about a nice gravel rally to start off the year next year, or drop MC for Ireland
