seems like we have a lot of things to be confirmed or rubbished before media day (when is this?) and subsequently the opening race of the season.

Generally a week before the first race (whenever that is)

so far the Autosport show put to bed a few things,

WSR will run BMW's, but we still don't know who is partnering Turkington
Mark Smith looks to be returing in the Alfa
Darren Turner is running in the second Seat Leon.
Howell is in a Motorbase Toledo

however we are still waiting on concrete news on most of the off season speculation, namely

What are Dynamics running, who will partner Matt Neal?
What are Kartword running, we have been told they HAVE 2 x S2000 cars but this appears not to be true, still expected to be Toledos or maybe Alfas?
Will the Pinkney/Marsh/Griffen/Alfa thing be confirmed?
Will Clyde Valley ever buy any Chevvies? (yes i know, they HAVE them already and will definatley be on the grid )
Will GR Asia turn up as recently rumoured
What is Adam Jones going to drive,

as well as the other topics on who will drive in the other remaining seats and will all the current teams find the funds to return?

I imagine a lot of running about is going on behind the scenes at a lot of teams and in drivers managers offices

I was told by Team Dynamics staff at Auosport that they will use the new Civic and that it was due to be unveiled at the show but wasn't completed on time.

i suspect you may be right, but until i see it confirmed in print its one more thing that is open to speculation

still unsure of the car tho, all rumours seem to lean towards the Civic, but didn't someone say they were close to another deal, and the Civic's would be so they had a car if it didn't come off (presumably they would sell the civics in this case?)

i think that BTCC.net has a counter saying 75days to the 1st race so theres plenty of time for the rumour mill yet! hopefully a few more things will be worked out in the next couple if weeks, i'm particularly waiting for the new on Kartworld, Pinkney/Marsh/Alfa's and Adam Jones, all promise to make a big impact on the championship if they come off.

anyone got any more leads on the GR Asia thing that appears to have come out of nowhere?

although i have to say that seems a little far fetched to go ahead and build a whole car from scratch purley as a contingency

Does anybody know if Dan Eaves was at the show in the end and if anybody has any news on what hes doing in 2007.
I know his name has be mentioned in this thread but he was due to be at show friday for Kart race??????????

Steve Neal was quote in MN saying they are trying to get a deal together, but there has to be a point in the Civics development where they say we have spent too much money to scrap it, lets use it. Would anyone buy it, with it being totally un-used?

maybe i am cutting close to the bone with my comments on people claiming/promising things they cannot deliver huh?

I know that Colin Neill has a few times had a brief look at this site - and visited after your last comment. If a fan was to write that it would be ok but a professional man like yourself shouldnt really be writing on that level, so my comment was it may lead you in to hot water, can you imagine if someone had wrote them comments about Mr Proctor prior to him joining the BTCC a few years ago - you wouldnt be a happy man would you? Or if Mr Proctor was to see that kind of comment he wouldnt really be pleased would he?!

I must admit re Clyde Valley I have only seen one press release and that was Autosport magazine a few months ago and I think im right in saying "he was testing the water" with regards to team managers and a team to run the outfit. So really any comments about CVR racing are all the peoples speculation on here.

For everyones attention Colin HASNT got any cars but is making progress on his plans - he has a ex-leading team manager in place and a place to run the team from. And he hopes to release his plans in a few weeks.

Thanks Dan. The correspondent I had with Clyde Valley suggested the same. The team will have cars, but not necessarily Chevys.

I spoke with Colin on Sunday - he said it would be Chevys, he hasnt released any real comments on this because he wants to do it right.
