Great first race, nice to see the new cars, all looking good. But we didn't see much of the new drivers... anyway, can't wait for the second race being broadcast tonight.
Give Leon a kick and tell him to get to work!

Looks like we have a good year of racing ahead of us...
Who was in the wrong, Courtney or Lowndes ??
Courtney could have lifted and let Lowndes through, who was far enough in front going into the corner..
Or Lowndes could have tried next lap at a cleaner pass down the back straight.

I'm going to have to say racing incident..too close to call..
    bloody great action though..

Both Courtney and Lowndes suffer from the God delusion that everyone should defer to them, so it was probably just a case of natural selection!

Without having seen it over and over I think it's leaning towards Lowndes' fault. Although they both were guilty of giving others a helping hand when passing.

Jack Elsegood T-Boned someone's driver's side door pretty hard in the utes race (red flagged) and haven't heard anything about it. Anyone in the know?

Also, best wishes to Ashley Cooper, who is still in critical condition.

Cooper's crash is on YouTube. He hit the wall hard on the port side of the car (I'm from the U.S. and A. but I didn't want to say driver's side since I'm not sure where the driver sits in Australia). It looked like he didn't even brake for that corner.

Any news about if his car broke before the crash? Do drivers in that series wear some kind of neck restraint like HANS?

Wasn't drivers side. He's dead though. RIP.

I wonder if part of the inquiry should look at whether 'safer barrier' is required on some of the faster corners on the street circuits in use in the Australasian area.
