Edwards leave the Busch Series alone
Carl Edwards has announced interest in returning for another full time double duty season next year.
Why? He has nothing left to prove, specially since he's praticually guarenteed to win the Busch Series this year. Maybe if he put all of his efforts into Cup he might do better there rather than being half focosed on Busch.
David Ragan, David Reutimann and Dave Blaney also have plans to continue runnning double duty next year.I solumly swear I'm up to no good

Maybe he enjoys running the Busch Series. And it is a free country.

Even so he and the other part time Buschwackers are turning the series into a joke. Edwards has absolutely no decent full time competion so I suppose we can expect every Busch season from now on to be an Edwards domination borefest.

Maybe he wants to add "Two Time Busch Champion" to his resume like a few of his peers....Truex, Junior, Harvick, etc.

Edwards' championship will have a nice asterisk next to win.
Tell Harvick who is still in charge of the Busch SeriesBrian France is a violation of Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing)

When there was about 7 Buschwackers to a race, it was cute. When Buschwackers take up more than half the field, it's pathedic. NASCAR should have let the Busch Series die a few years ago.

Correct me if I am wrong, and I may well be.
As I understand it, only small crowds went to see Busch races a few years ago.
Then more and more Cup racers joined in and crowds swelled?
Is that nutshell fairly accurate? If so, it speaks for itself. I wonder why people stay away - I saw every lap of every race when I was in Charlotte earlier this year, and practice, and qualifying. And I am no anorak - just enjoy the spectacle.
Shame the locals don't support all the races as they should. Perhaps it is the cost of attending, and maybe the time. But it's only a weekend. I was quite upset at seeing all the empty stands during the truck and Busch races.

Like em or not, the Buschwackers fill in the stands. The series would probably die out without them as Andrew states. Might be a little tough on tracks to to make a weekend out of racing with one series. Less concessions, less souviners etc..etc... They may even add on more to the Cup tickets to cover the loss.

I have always said, that for the money it costs me, a canadian, to venture to the south to watch a race, I want the best bang for my buck. The best racing is provided by the cup boys.
Do you know what the alternative is??? Take Tony George om his offer to have the IRL as the support series on NASCAR race weekends.SKOL VIKINGS!
Isn't Rally2 performance compared to old spec WRC if not better (pre 2017).
