It's hard to say, honestly as it seems nothing works. It's like desperate calls are made. I don't know if FIA actually speak to manufacturers about kits. And what would be their plan if all would dealyed and keep Rally1 for another season, or don't know scrap everything and keep Rally2 as it is as top category... But that later one I'm afraid could drive Toyota out.

So........... what's the alternative? Rally2 is making zero, none, nil drivers compete in all rounds.

And the kit is for the TV cameras but posing as a sporting rule.

But I will assume now you mean MW. I don't think there's any evidence to agree.
The evidence is that M-sport was confirming the kit straight away

Odd timing yes. But not a sign of corruption.

He's got a point. If anyone is interested of listening him. WRC shouldn't be somehow elite sport with elite cars.

True. WRC was never a massive manufacturer effort like some people here treat it out. Boreham was literally a shed within Ford's Dagenham plant. Alpine was a small workshop in Dieppe. Lancia and Abarth were pretty much back garages. Ralliart, Prodrive and early TTE weren't massive efforts either. And in the Group 4 and Group A days local dealerships and preparators always cooked up something for the national round. VW (and to a lesser extent Citroen beforehand...) have shifted the perspective that you need massive budgets and full manufacturer backing to compete in WRC. Maybe its time to reverse the trend? Go back to the grassroots and open up the entry list? You can't keep going with 10? top efforts, little to no privateers and no local heroes. Just a thought...

Still can't use rallying to sell cars, only branding. So without a promoter, without commercial rights, no TV package, no website, no data going to eWRC, how would it look? Well, it just wouldn't exist.

GT3 model + it's BoP. No one likes BoP, but it's a necessary evil to even the odds

i have a mate that also follow the wrc and i asked him his thoughts on all this stuff but hes not on forums or social media so he was completely out of the loop. he said he heard something there will be new cars for next years but he hadnt paid attention.
i explained the 'drama' (lol) and he went like "uhh, lets see"... and then i always think: "hes right. he couldnt care less about the drama, he just watch the races" haha i wish i was more like that, but im always hooked to the drama and the interactions about it =P
