Nah. Rally 1s are done. Toyota is already working on a 27 car and have the Yaris Rally 2 as a stop gap if needed. M-Sport were probably the ones pushing for the Kit (alongside Lancia...), since the Pumas are ultra expensive. Hyundai were likely to stop anyways. So, imo, for 2027, we ll see the Toyota 27, the Fiesta Rally 2 Kit, the Ypsilon Integrale Kit, maybe a tuner and less likely Hyundai and Skoda. Feel like its a better situation than the Toyota show we have now.

I think the WRC has to do a "1987" next year, run normal Rally2's, not optimal or exiting, but atleast a level'ish field with 15-20 cars in most rallies.
The corrupt president of FIA should be in jail. I dont think anyone real new promoter is around in todays WRC, sadly enough.

Sadly Lancia already declines developing the kit: https://dirtfish.com/rally/wrc/lanci...it-indecision/
It will be Toyota & at best M-Sport, if they are quick enough developing the kit.
If we are extremely lucky, maybe some other WR27 half way through the season, but I would not bet on that

The core aspect being the car must share some characteristics of a body shell chassis of a production car that is capable of doing what's not necessary and not capable of doing what's necessary in special stage rally. Or, the core aspect being, 'being fooled by'.
Maybe rallying should change name, did anybody in WRC ever actually go rallying? I know Monte had the option until quite late, but did anybody actually do it?

It doesn't help that current rally cars are the fundamentally wrong cars for rallying now (in my oppinion). We should be driving super cars and/or jeeps, since with them you at least have a...
