They can probably bolt the Fiesta WRC 17 aero on the Rally 2 and be good to go. Guess M-Sport was pushing for that scenario. Possible Hyundai can do the same with the i20, despite it being a newer chassis.

But do they have enough power to use that much aero?

To think that a years old car with some bolt on aero can compete with a completely new build car is a dream .... dreamt up by the guy that sells those old cars ^^

But at the end we need to be glad that M-Sport is at least doing something. I don't see any other team being so commited to WRC ever as them. They are practically nowhere, have no support and still doing it. Way better than Hyundai with all thouse resources. If they wouldn't sign up Ogier that time, they would be 10+ years doing in completely without success. They are always trying very hard to be here and at the end they are, even if they lose money, which they do. Hyundai board could talk to them if Ford deal will not go through once again.

Lets say limited support (from Ford), still struggling to get sponsorship since Red Bull (who mainly funded the driver); and they dont make any money from Rally1 (2 car sales for parts & servicing).
