Elfyn Evans clearly has, arguably, his best chance ever to take the title. He is managing the situation cleverly, knowing Oliver is suffering from bouts of overdriving and Ogier has allowed too many points to slip. Greece may be the only major headache, in as far as road sweeping is concerned, coz Estonia and Finland aren't extreme. This is his championship to lose; but I doubt he will.

Oliver can slow down quite a bit and still be a lot faster. Just have a look at super sunday results.

Yes, I know the guys in the top needed to manage results overall, and standings quite settled, but still...

He is like his Father, for better and worse ^^

I don't think he can scale back much, since it's his personality

Great drive by Elfyn. Sad that he only gets 17 points more than a driver who didn't even finish all the stages. There isnt much point to sunday points, it just penalises the drivers who are trying to manage their speed for the best possible result. Does it make sunday any more exciting? Not for me. The line should have been drawn at the powers stage points.

Agree. But needs to adapt to current circumstances, not what was in 2000-2007...

Btw. Some pressure also for Ollie on Super Sunday, anyway.

Oliver clearly doesn't yet think about the championship and just wants to win rallies.
instead of setteling for 2nd, he tried beating evans. but to beat the best, you need to take bigger risks.

Great performance by Evans, I was sure Ogier would reel him in over the last two days.
Fair play to Oliver for sticking it on its nose today after crashing again, he’s got his 10 points which could be important. Needs to learn that what he thinks is a normal speed, is actually high risk which is what keeps catching him out.
Ogier was a little surprising, strange.
Pajari showed us something, some very fast times on tarmac. Good
Katsuta, I guess it’s the pressure as once he was out of it, speed was good.
Fourmaux, very good once he got going, easily quicker than Neuville again.
Neuville, looked like he was going through the motions waiting for gravel.
Paddon, not too bad really given the circumstances. Not his fault they have put him in for the tarmac rallies.
Armstrong, clean rally finally. Puma is awful on these pure tarmac rallies, but he did at least lift it well clear of the Rally2 cars.
Mcerlean Puncture killed anything for him, but pretty average overall.
I’m not sad to see the back of the tarmac for these cars, since the switch to Hankook and non-hybrid, there has been no competition.

That could be easily done if sunday points would not be worth so much. 5 max for sunday overall and ps 3 max.
