The most confusing thing is the decline in their tarmac performance. 2017 car was good on tarmac and also the pre-evo version of the rally1 was fast. I don't understand how is it possible for such a large team not to understand what is wrong with the car. Maybe the removal of the hybrid unit affects them more thank we think.

I seem to recall reading that Hyundai team knows what the fundamental problems are but homologation rules (eg. number and scope of jokers) does not allow them to rectify everything.

Evans meets a tow truck and Solberg said;
"There was a police officer standing in the middle of the road. I was flat out in sixth gear when this lady was there in front of me. She jumped out of the way at the very last moment. This has happened many times in this rally,"
