Couldn't have said it better myself!

I think a tarmac rally like this has it's value and can easily be part of the championship instead of another generic gravel event.

Personally I never understood the sidways = spectacular thought process.

    Silly comment.

"Go watch Autocross" Gravel, sideways action, but crucially not rallying so not really a substitute.

I know people from countries were the national championships are mostly gravel prefer that usually, but there is a place for tarmac.

Of course there is. World championship of 14 rounds has, officially, 3 tarmac rounds. Not enough.

If it were half or more we might even contemplate that the GT manufacturers were involved, which they should be.

But definitivly Solberg don't has that gift.

When we see the Ogier's powerstage time, we understand that that french was also on the limit fighting with Oliver. But when it comes to luck, Ogier is the champion.

Oliver had crazy amount of luck with his offs in Monte and Sweden. But such luck can not last forever. He is over the limit too much

The calendar should include one mixed event too. Tarmac/gravel. The last time they tried that with Latvia (but officially it was gravel rally, so it don't count). I think it was Spain that it was categorized with mixed type of surface, where crews needs to convert their cars for completely different type. Also I think it's great having one tarmac which is smooth tarmac and not all of them with changeable conditions, worn out surface and really bad weather. It's a world championship and crews needs to be able to tackle all types of events.
