McLaren impressed. They proved me wrong. Watch Piastri this season. If McLaren can improve further, he is on track to be world champion this season. I said it in my previous post that Russell may have a surprise fight for the championship from Kimi. He cannot afford to be complacent going forward.
Ferrari seems to be reverting to their 2025 pattern. Started strong and drifted backwards from the third race onwards.
This race weekend showed how real the issues that the drivers are complaining about is. Qualifying was painful for drivers wanting to push hard. The Bearman crash also shows how crashes would happen when a car with battery overtakes a car without battery and he moves into the path of the overtaking car. The huge speed difference caught out Bearman who had no choice but to take drastic avoiding action, which spat him into the barriers. We would see more of these this season.
