    Another non-exciting race.
Yeah, I hate watching tactics and strategy.

I hated a lot of things about that race .

The only "but" I can see is that 3 guys can still win it .

    You don't say!

How a crap strategist can ruin a driver's potential to win. Piastri would be quietly livid.

The first turn didn't surprise me at all.

What happened a few laps later did.

McLaren dropped the ball big time. So now they go into the last race with Max firmly in Lando's head, and maybe Max and the RB team firmly in McLaren's head. They really still don't have to do much to pull off a Lando WDC, but shaking things up sometimes causes major blunders. The fact that they made this mistake shows that the pressure is still on, and humans can human it up.

Gutted for Hadjar, he had a great race going. And at the rate he's been going, Kimi will have the title of the new Minister of Defense. Up until the snap he was making keeping Lando behind look easy really. Carlos had a great run to end up with a podium. Fred kept the AM up in the points as well, Lawson in the points, and even Yuki managed a point.

It could have been so much worse for McLaren. The fact that the top three ran away from most of the field was the only thing that helped them.

Is this all McLaren's fault ?

It certainly ended up being a colossal mistake , but what were the chances of every single other team stacking the pit stops , giving them all no flexibility at all for the other stop ?
I was amazed when they all followed each other in .

It was then a stupid DRS train for the rest of the race , with everyone on the the same tire .

The idea of a limit on tire mileage is awful , in my opinion .
This is one major influence that created a boring race .

Perhaps Pirelli could make recommendations as to max laps without a specific mandate , so teams could take responsibility , themselves .
They don't want a blow-out , and have direct feedback from the car .

I was surprised that maybe some teams didn't pit only a single car, but giving up an almost free stop is surely a way to lose time in most cases. The fact that only three cars didn't make the stop more or less shows that point.

I can agree that it made the strategy kinda out the door, but it was the right thing to do. And it proved that teams don't want any more stops than they need.

I'm all for more durable tires all around really, and TBH I'd be fine without them having to use two compounds. If they are durable enough with a time delta some teams might opt to push the softer tires and faster laps for more of the race, hoping to overcome the harder compounds.
