Think the results can convince M-Sport and Ford to push ahead with the Puma Rally 2, regardless of what happens in WRC.

i'd argue "FORD" dont care about rallying anymore.
for 27' the new cars need to be "R5s but on tubeframe chassis", right? so msport CAN still sell fiestas R5 and they probably can build pumas (or what else ford my have??) if they "stick" with ford (at least via this type of ""indirect"" partnership).

Fiestas are dead (for now at least). M-Sport will have to replace them soon if they intend on continuing Rally 2 involvement. Millener himself had stated that they were working in a Puma Rally 2. Since Ford has confirmed that they will bring back a B segment car in the near future, that platform could be the vehicle of choice.

Given they can put any body they want on it... who cares whether its a Puma or Fiesta, Raptor or Anglia.

On the Fiesta... they mentioned on RallyTV that it had some upgrades for Armstrong and Jurgensson. It would be interesting to know what they were and if they made the difference.
If so, M-Sport might get some good business from all their Fietsa Rally2 owners and might even get another competitive year out of it in 2026.
To be fair Jon didnt have much experience in the Rally2 Car with just one year before this season. A few mistakes were inevitable but he's learned from them and had a great second half of 2025.
