    Yeah lol.

The first probably wasn't a concern when they shipped it before it broke. The second (Sweden) engine is probably OK, just being protected yesterday with nothing to run for.

The link also applies to the chassis through 'per car name' in that rule. So the same car and engines were used in Paraguay.

Basicly, they sent 40 miillions on R&D, almost 20 doing rallies, and then they couldn't spend 300.000 Euros on a third engine? Are these 300.000 on one more engine and 200.000 on one more gearbox that will blow the budget?

They blow the championship chances by saving 500.000Eur on a 60 milion budget?!?
You cannot look at one part of the regulations individually, it is far more complex than that.
You take away all the cost saving regulations because each is only worth peanuts, but all of them together not only are a significant cost saving factor, but they also steer the development in certain directions.

Yes manufacturers are gonna spend what they gonna spend, but if you were to open everything up, manufacturers would have left already or cried even louder than they do now.

Your numbers are also off as the rule limiting the amount of engines has a direct effect on the R&D cost. If you suddenly change the regulations to allow one engine per rally the manufacturers would start a new development war and spend a shit ton as this would change the requirements for an engine completely.

My understanding is that the car number 1 is always the car number one on the events, no matter the chassis.

The chassis used in Sweden by Tanak is not the same used in Chile, tthe plate number is dfferent.
    Three gears are enough!

Unless they changed the plates to the chassis number (the car name)?

17.1.2 Each engine will be assigned to a specific car name.

    Ouch.

Okay, different plate number mixes up my understanding.

So it seems Ott won’t make it with this engine until the end of the day…

Doesn't sound good for Tanak already here, such a shame because his time seems ok!

    Engine is "ending" already.

Is some idiot putting these logs on the road? Evans onboard looked uncomfortable with these little logs.
